Retrieving the cardholder authentication result

In the transaction details, the Authentication tab presents all the information necessary for understanding the result of cardholder authentication. If the tab is absent, it means that the transaction is performed without cardholder authentication.

In the Recap section, you will find:
  • The card registration status on the OSB Directory Server (DS),
  • The authentication status of the cardholder.
  • The final status of authentication process.

The other sections provide technical information on the authentication process:
  • Protocol details: indicates the cardholder’s authentication method (challenge) and the Directory Server (OSB) used for verifying the card enrollment.
  • Authentication details: lists the various events that occurred during authentication.

Here is how to interpret this information according to the different use cases.

  • Authentication success
  • Failed authentication: invalid data
  • Authentication failed: expired session
